Can I freeze cat chow?

Storing Purina Cat Chow in the freezer to retain freshness is perfectly acceptable. The biggest issue with freezing the food would be how the dry cat food would be handled once the product is taken out of the freezer. If the product is frozen in an air-tight package, once removed from the freezer the product should be allowed to equilibrate to room temperature before opening. This will prevent condensation from occurring. If condensation does occur this can lead to mold and spoilage of the product which will prevent you from feeding the product. Keep the package closed until the product reaches room temperature and then the product should be fine for feeding.
