My cat regularly suffers from blocked anal glands. Can these be removed, and if so what…

Cat’s can have surgery on their anal glands although it is usually considered after other treatment options such as regular expression, diet changes, etc. have been tried. There have been reports of incontinence following surgery although this is most often just for a day or two. You will also need to monitor your cat closely following surgery to watch for signs of infection etc. It should not affect his personality or anything else. At this point, I’d talk further to your veterinarian about treatment options, including surgery.
