We have three adult cats from the same litter. We adopted them at the age of 8 weeks…

Urine spraying is a normal, but unwanted cat behavior especially if it occurs indoors. Both neutered males and spayed female cats can spray with urine to mark their territory. One of the common causes of marking behavior has been noted as unfriendly interactions between cats in the home or a problem with cats outside of the home. Making sure the home has adequate resources such as food and water bowls, litter boxes and perches may help some cats. Keeping outside cats away from the territory is also useful. In severe cases a visit to a veterinary behaviorist may be needed to further assess the situation and perhaps use medication to diminish the anxiety associated with urine spraying.
